A Proverb Corrected
This is a twist on another popular bridal shower games where you say the beginning of a common proverb and have a guest finish the quote. The twist for this game is that the guest has to finish the proverb with anything except the traditional ending. For example, Love means never having to say (fill in the blank). In the traditional game the answer is of course; “you are sorry”. When playing A Proverb Corrected, that is the only wrong answer. Play the game and then vote on the funniest, most meaningful, and most romantic answers and award prizes.
You can even make it themed so answers can only revolve around a theme (example: Love means never having to “paint your own toenails” for a spa themed bridal shower)!

Find The Good Word
Gather a bunch of magazines that your guests can cut up and make a list of 10-15 wedding and marriage related words, you can even throw in some non-marriage words for variety. Divide all the guests into 4 or 5 groups and give each group a list of the words and the magazines (3-5 per team is good) along with an 11 x 14 piece of construction paper, scissors and glue.
Each group has to cut out words and pictures from the magazines and glue them on the paper to represent and make the words from the list. The group that finishes pasting all the words first wins.
When making up your words list make it a little fun (or naughty!) by adding some off the wall items like “a man’s butt” and even a few weird ones like “hot dog” or “panty hose”. Have the guest put the name of the “Bride to be” at the top of the page or perhaps you want to find words that describe the bride to be. If you are having a themed bridal shower, pick words related to the theme. The options and creativity of this game are endless!
When you are finished you can gather the collages up and present them to the bride in a scrapbook as a gift to remember her bridal shower.

Bridal Accessories
Take a roll of toilet paper and give a bit of it to all the guests. You can vary the amount of paper you give to each guest at random. Then ask the bride to stand on a low stool or small table and let each guest “make” an accessory for her – from the toilet paper!
Guests can make toilet paper earrings, bracelets and bangles, necklaces, a wedding veil, and perhaps even a wedding ring. Get the bride to model her bridal outfit and take lots of fun photographs!

Introducing “I”
Once all the guests have arrived get them to sit in a circle so that they can all see each other. Let the bride start the game by saying her name and an adjective describing herself. However, the adjective must begin with the same letter as the name. So the bride can say, “Hi I’m Susan and I’m Sweet”. The next girl has to introduce herself similarly AND add the bride’s introduction as well. So she says, “Hi, I’m Angela and I’m Assertive and this is Susan and she’s Sweet”. The next person introduces herself and the two before her and so on and so forth.
It can be pretty difficult to remember all the names but everyone makes an effort so they end up remembering more than they otherwise would. You can also adapt the game to a theme shower by asking the girls to use adjective related to the theme. So for a garden theme party, Susan would be someone who loves Sunflowers and Grace could be someone who loves gardening.

Quote the Bride
This game can get a little bit spicy so it might not work for every bridal shower. Simply have someone secretly write down the first thing the bride says as she opens up her shower gifts. After she is done, read back what she said, but in the context of things she’ll say to her new husband on their wedding night. You’ll be surprised how sassy some of the innocent comments will sound.

Naughty Bridal Bingo Charades
Another variation of the classic charades game combined with the popular bridal bingo. Make bingo cards with risque words like “oral”, “tongue”, “blow” – depending on how far you want to take things. Write the words on slips of paper and put them in a bowl. Give each guest a bingo card then ask the bride to pick a slip of paper from the bowl and enact the words instead of calling them out. Have the guests try to guess the words, once the correct word is called out have the players cross the word off their bingo card.
The first person to get a bingo wins, but of course, nobody needs to complete her bingo card or win; the idea is to get the bride to go through the entire list of words. Just make sure the bride is open to this type of fun, as it can be very embarassing for some.

Risqué Waitress Bride
Talk to the owner of a bar or club you frequent and set up the bridal shower there. Get a waitresses costume for the bride and make her play “sexy waitress” for the night. Put a label saying “Bride To Be” so that everyone knows it’s only a game. Let the bride serve drinks, gather tips and in general play a friendly, flirty waitress to your group (and everyone else at the bar if she is up for it!). Depending on how out going your bride-to-be is this can become one funny night. Just make sure to tip her well!
Note: As the hostess of the bridal shower, etiquette does not require you to sponsor the entire bridal shower at a bar or club. That can be pretty expensive. What is your responsibility however is to buy the entry for all the guests to the club, buy a round of drinks for everyone and give away some favors as a thank you.

The Worst Chore?
This one can get really funny, but some maybe offended so be sure to consider if this is too risque for your guests. Give each guest a piece of paper and a pen. Ask them to write the one household chore they hate the most and list three reasons why they hate it so much. So if you hate doing the dishes, give three reasons why (such as: it makes me wet, my hands get too dry, it’s smelly).
Take back the papers and read aloud the reasons EXCEPT replace the hated household chore with the phrase – “I hate sex because…” Extremely hilarious. Your guests will be laughing, as well as blushing, and the joke for once will be on them NOT the bride!
